Susanna Styron

Susanna Styron is an award-winning film industry writer and director. She joined our team in 2008 with responsibilities for preparing psychological assessment reports.

She currently teaches directing in the MFA program at Columbia University film school and screenwriting in the MFA program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She holds a B.A. from Yale University and an M.F.A. from the American Film Institute.

Susanna co-wrote and directed the feature film, SHADRACH, starring Harvey Keitel and Andie MacDowell. She wrote and directed for A&E’s acclaimed TV series 100 CENTRE STREET, created by Sidney Lumet, and co-authored (with Bridget Terry) several films for Hallmark Hall of Fame and Lifetime Television

Susanna has produced and directed several documentary films. These include 9/12: FROM CHAOS TO COMMUNITY, about the volunteer community at Ground Zero, and IN OUR OWN BACKYARDS, about the nuclear industry on the Navajo Reservation.

Susanna has been an associate producer for ABC-TV’s documentary division, worked as a photojournalist, and written articles published in Spin Magazine, The Yale Revue, and The New York Times.
