Jordan Jacobowitz, Ph.D.

Jordan Jacobowitz has collaborated with Leslie Pratch in applied research for over 18 years. He has been a psychologist for over 30 years, working in clinical, research, and educational settings. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Northwestern University.

Jordan began his research career studying the relationship between intellectual and personality - particularly coping - characteristics and success among students in medical school. He studied the impact of coping style on mental and physical health among psychiatric and normal adult and child populations. He has served as Chairperson on over 60 dissertation studies and has co-authored numerous professional articles.

He received a B.A. from New York University (1971), an M.A. in clinical psychology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (1976) and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (1984). In addition, he completed a post-doctoral fellowship in the clinical psychology of adult development and aging at Northwestern University.
