James R. Lozelle

Mr. Lozelle serves on the boards of Sanibel Captiva Trust Company, Art Technologies, Computer Utilities, and Tempress Products L.P. He is also one of the founders of the Regional Business Alliance of Southwest Florida, Inc. Between 1999 and July, 2007, he served as a director of Tower Automotive Inc. (TWR).

Prior to his retirement in 1999, Mr. Lozelle was responsible for Tower Automotive Milwaukee a 3.5 million square foot facility with 3,000 employees. Prior to his involvement with Tower Automotive, Mr. Lozelle was the owner of Edgewood Tool & Manufacturing in Romulus, Michigan, responsible for growing Edgewood Tool from $1 million in revenue in 1970, to over $70 million in revenue before Edgewood Tool was acquired by Tower Automotive Inc. in May 1994. Before joining Edgewood Tool, Mr. Lozelle was director of Machine Tool and Mechanical Technology at Kalamazoo Valley Community College.

Mr. Lozelle is a past chairman of the Precision Metalforming Association, former chairman of PMA’s Government Affairs Committee, and past president of the PMA Educational Foundation board of trustees. He is a recipient of the PMA Excellence in Leadership Award.

Mr. Lozelle holds a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin and a M.A. from the University of Michigan.

Mr. Lozelle is a natural leader and coach. His experience owning and growing a company organically 70-fold; selling it to a company growing through acquisitions in a highly-fragmented industry; remaining as a senior executive to continue to help the company grow through acquisitions and take it public; and subsequently to serve as a director attest to his tact, his knowledge of when to defer and when to take charge, and the breadth and depth of his understanding of leadership, acquisition integration, engineering, finance, operations, and marketing. He is an extremely effective executive coach and mentor.
